Dec 15th: The Devil's Twins - Diablogato - The Worried

Devil’s Twins: Catchy, yet haunting, dueling vocals by Nikki Coogan and Jeremiah Louf— atop a wall of sound generated by only one guitar is what defines the unique sound of the Boston-based duo The Devil’s Twins. The press and their underground cult following—The 2crew—describe their sound as “noir punk”.

Diablogato: We're not rockabilly or punk rock. We aren't garage, soul, gothic southern swamp darkness, or mid-century American rock n roll. We’re all of those things

The Worried: Legends in Providence Punk scene - Dennis Kelly, Pete McLanahan, Scott Boutier, Mark “Evvo” Evans, Corey Creamer

Jan 2nd: Jeff Kelly at Askew

Jeff Kelly sings of the human experience with a sense of vulnerability and grit that is both familiar and authentic. Honesty and attention to detail are at the root of each song and the emotion and experience is not lost on the listener.

Jeff currently splits his time between his solo endeavors and a rotating cast of musicians known as the Graveyard Shift. The band's debut album, titled "Jeff Kelly and the Graveyard Shift" was released in April of 2018.

Originally from Massachusetts, Kelly made a slow migration to the Midwest, living in Rochester, New York for several years, before settling in Indianapolis, Indiana at the end of 2009. In the absence of family and people he knew, Kelly took up the guitar shortly thereafter, if only to keep him company. He's been writing and performing ever since. The songs are a true reflection of where he's been and where his heart continues to take him.

Kelly has shared the stage with such acts as Lera Lynn, Joe Pug, The Wild Reeds, Gaelic Storm, Christopher Paul Stelling, The Dupont Brothers, Reckless Kelly, Joe Fletcher, Hannah Aldridge, and Matthew Mayfield.

Heather Rose In Clover
Heather Rose In Clover is a band out of Providence, RI (see skyline in their logo) Alterna-Pop Post-Punk, 90's-Esque, Indie Rock played by fun, yet nerdy, awkward turtles. They ignore genre boundaries while never misplacing the rock n' roll roots that bind them together.

Tiny Diamond
Born under a full moon in the city of H.P. Lovecraft himself, Tiny Diamond has been stealing the hearts of Rhode Island's local music aficionados since 2014. Tiny Diamond is fueled by the talents of three fantastic women who call Rhode Island home. Their songs, all original, are characterized by their awesome indie-pop sensibilities, a penchant for exquisite harmonies, sick beats and a constant rotation of instrumentation, all electric, and all badass. All of the time.

Greg has also supported and played with acts like Tower of Power, John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band, King's X, Deep Banana Blackout, E.C. Scott, K.D. Bell, and James Montgomery. And Greg has led the house band at The Newport Blues Cafe.

In 2007, Greg competed live on national television as part of Michael Bolton’s New Haven Choir on NBC's "Clash of The Choirs." "Clash of The Choirs" was a special reality competition show where five recording artists hand-selected twenty singers from their hometown communities and turned them into choirs. This experience allowed Greg the opportunity to share the stage with Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Rowland. While working on "Clash of The Choirs," Greg sang back-up for Michael Bolton's performance of "When a Man Loves a Woman" and was part of a sight-reading and fast-study group hand-picked from each choir for a live performance on NBC's "The Today Show" featuring Gloria Estefan.

Vudu Sister - Keith McCurdy is a Romanichal singer/songwriter from Providence, RI.
The Sister is Keith McCurdy and Diane O'Connor with additionally featured accompaniment by Amato Zinno…Vudu Sister craft songs of death, despair, and insanity through various mediums of gothy, grunge-tinged death-folk.

Slim Jim and the Mad Cows are a Boston based band that takes you on a spin through your big brother’s Judas Priest and Motörhead cassettes via your uncle's collection of Johnny Cash and George Jones 8-tracks. Swampbirds with Barn Burning
Oct

Swampbirds with Barn Burning

Swampbirds are a Providence born folk/alternative band.

Jen Long: vocals, guitar, accordion, banjo
Sue Metro: slide guitar, electronics.
Pedro Weinberg: drums, percussions.
Brian Jablonski: Bass
Bronwen Konecky: vocals, guitar, banjo.

Barn Burning has been described as an inventive Rhode Island band that offers an indie take on alt-country. The resulting tunes are sparse, yet rich with emotion with vocal harmonies and detached melancholy that is anchored to earthly lapsteel, violin and harmonica. From quiet to loud all sometimes within the same song, this is a band too pretty to seem angry, but just loud enough to hurt some feelings.
