Jan 26th - Sugar Blood Jinx - Ryan Lee Crosby Trio

an amazing night of Blues, and Roots Rock!

Sugar Blood Jinx is a band as diverse as its members; blending elements of blues, jazz, roots and rock

Ryan integrates blues from the hill country of North Mississippi with textures of North Indian Hindustani classical raga music. Crosby performs on electric 12-string guitar and chaturangui (the 22-string Indian slide guitar designed by Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya) and is joined by fretless guitar, tabla, harmonica and calabash (West African percussion). The raga influence is heard through the band’s hypnotic, almost trance-like motifs, and the blues seeps through Crosby’s dynamic vocals and masterful, single-line guitar melodies

all for 8 bucks!!

Greg has taken the stage with bands like The Clarke Brothers, Powerhouse, Sugar Daddy, and The Highrollers. Greg has also supported and played with acts like Tower of Power, John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band, King's X, Deep Banana Blackout, E.C. Scott, K.D. Bell, and James Montgomery. And Greg has led the house band at The Newport Blues Cafe.
In 2007, Greg competed live on national television as part of Michael Bolton’s New Haven Choir on NBC's "Clash of The Choirs." This experience allowed Greg the opportunity to share the stage with Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Rowland. While working on "Clash of The Choirs," Greg sang back-up for Michael Bolton's performance of "When a Man Loves a Woman" and was part of a sight-reading and fast-study group hand-picked from each choir for a live performance on NBC's "The Today Show" featuring Gloria Estefan.

Greg enjoyed great success with his residency at the critically-acclaimed Blues Night at The Owl Shop in New Haven for 3 years, The band plays many private events and functions including being selected to play 2 events of The Inauguration of Yale Universities 23rd President Peter Salovey.

The Greg Sherrod Blues band also supported The Johnny Winter Band on Johnny's last U.S. show before his passing. In August of 2014 Greg Sherrod performed with The Disco Biscuits during their headlining set at The Gathering Of The Vibes Music Festival in Bridgeport CT. Which also includes original members of The Grateful Dead.

Jan 2nd: Jeff Kelly at Askew

Jeff Kelly sings of the human experience with a sense of vulnerability and grit that is both familiar and authentic. Honesty and attention to detail are at the root of each song and the emotion and experience is not lost on the listener.

Jeff currently splits his time between his solo endeavors and a rotating cast of musicians known as the Graveyard Shift. The band's debut album, titled "Jeff Kelly and the Graveyard Shift" was released in April of 2018.

Originally from Massachusetts, Kelly made a slow migration to the Midwest, living in Rochester, New York for several years, before settling in Indianapolis, Indiana at the end of 2009. In the absence of family and people he knew, Kelly took up the guitar shortly thereafter, if only to keep him company. He's been writing and performing ever since. The songs are a true reflection of where he's been and where his heart continues to take him.

Kelly has shared the stage with such acts as Lera Lynn, Joe Pug, The Wild Reeds, Gaelic Storm, Christopher Paul Stelling, The Dupont Brothers, Reckless Kelly, Joe Fletcher, Hannah Aldridge, and Matthew Mayfield.

Heather Rose In Clover
Heather Rose In Clover is a band out of Providence, RI (see skyline in their logo) Alterna-Pop Post-Punk, 90's-Esque, Indie Rock played by fun, yet nerdy, awkward turtles. They ignore genre boundaries while never misplacing the rock n' roll roots that bind them together.

Tiny Diamond
Born under a full moon in the city of H.P. Lovecraft himself, Tiny Diamond has been stealing the hearts of Rhode Island's local music aficionados since 2014. Tiny Diamond is fueled by the talents of three fantastic women who call Rhode Island home. Their songs, all original, are characterized by their awesome indie-pop sensibilities, a penchant for exquisite harmonies, sick beats and a constant rotation of instrumentation, all electric, and all badass. All of the time.
