Barn Burning has been described as an inventive Rhode Island band that offers an indie take on alt-country. The resulting tunes are sparse, yet rich with emotion with vocal harmonies and detached melancholy that is anchored to earthly lapsteel, violin and harmonica. From quiet to loud all sometimes within the same song, this is a band too pretty to seem angry, but just loud enough to hurt some feelings.
