Nathaniel Johnstone a multi-instrumentalist virtuoso (violin, viola, guitar, banjo, vocals) whose music pulls from myth, fantasy, and folklore with a vibrant sound that crosses boundaries & borders, resulting in a captivating blend of multicultural rock and dark Americana. He hails from Seattle, WA and can be found playing violin, viola, banjo, mandolin, guitar - as well as singing. His vibrant sound crosses boundaries and borders, resulting in a blend of European, Middle Eastern, and South American music with Jazz, Rock, Surf, Folk, Gothic, and Steampunk influences. Juniper and The Wolf (otherwise known as Genevieve Andræssen) is a duo of one; a storyteller turned singer-songwriter & ethnomusicologist. For the last 3 years, Genevieve has been traveling through Europe & parts of Africa, researching & performing traditional folkloric music & dances from many countries & cultures, as well as a handful of original works. Through performances of little known myths & music, exciting cross-cultural collaborations & the various projects produced on her website (wewhomove.org), she aims to foster a renaissance of fascination with folkloric arts & traditions, across the globe!
