The John Allmark Jazz Orchestra has been at the forefront of Rhode Island Jazz for almost 29 years now. During that time it has deservedly earned a reputation as one of the countries finest jazz ensembles.
The band still performs bi-monthly at the Met Cafe in Pawtucket but it's legacy continues to grow with the formation of the John Allmark Super Jazz Octet in 2017.
This stellar eight piece ensemble gives British trumpeter John Allmark a new platform to showcase his writing and arranging skills whilst featuring an all-star line-up of the very best jazz musicians that New England has to offer.
In addition to Allmark the June 23rd performance will feature Tucker Antell, Bob Bowlby and Nigel Yancy on saxophones, Angel Subero-trombone, Eugene Maslov-piano, Bill Miele-bass and Steve Langone on drums.
Askew is thrilled to welcome back this powerhouse unit and invites you again to be part of another very exciting and memorable evening.
